A-Z #WellTraveledFamily Challenge: H-J Roundup

On TV

11 Jul

We’ve dived into the middle of Summer, and pool time is a necessity, nothing’s better than a cold glass of lemonade, and your summer travel plans are in full gear. How is your family enjoying the A-Z #WellTraveledFamily Challenge? There’s been some great memories made and new experiences explored here at Hip Travel Mama. We’re thrilled to share H-J of our #WellTraveledFamily Challenge and hope to inspire you to share your adventures this summer!

H is for Home Rentals

Home Rentals are a great way to travel with your family because they offer the comforts of home–like a kitchen, bedrooms, and places to relax–and can often be less expensive than a hotel, especially if you are traveling with a group. Our favorite resources for home rentals are HomeAway, AirBNB, and VRBO. Traveling locally? Local specialists can help you with great deals on home rentals in some of your favorite places. Chelan Vacation Properties is a great resource for homes near Lake Chelan. Headed to the Oregon Coast? Oregon Beach Vacations has some great homes that your family will love.

I is for Idaho

Idaho is home to the largest theme park in the Northwest, Silverwood Theme Park, located in Northern Idaho. Home to 66 rides, including 5 roller coasters and the Boulder Beach Water Park. It’s a great place for families to have some fun and cool off this summer! Another great Idaho getaway is Sun Valley, Idaho and the gorgeous Redfish Lake where you can take a boat cruise, enjoy water sports, go rafting, and more! Alaska Airlines offers seasonal non-stop flights to Sun Valley from $189 one way.

J is for Jazz

Jazz is one of America’s greatest musical creations, and you can catch some of the great talent in the Pacific Northwest this summer at some great festivals. Catch the family-friendly Jazz in the Valley in Downtown Ellensburg July 26-28, where you can sip the Northwests premier microbrews and wine while savoring specialty food–all while enjoying great music. A little later in the summer, you can visit Vancouver, WA for the Vancouver Wine + Jazz Festival August 23-25.

What is your family planning for H-J? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook!
