Putting wellness in #welltraveledfamily | The Spa at Four Seasons Seattle Review

Hotels we love

20 Jan

Disclosure statement hip travel mama Each year, I do a year-end review of my personal goals. 2013 was filled with lots of joyful opportunities and experiences both for work and with our family. It was also a year of great challenge. Looking ahead to 2014, one of my personal goals is to make health and wellness a priority. Daily exercise is non-negotiable. Meditation and growing my faith is an important part of keeping my energy high and letting go of things outside of my control. Why wellness? I’m putting a high priority on taking better care of my body, both inside and out. As a happy family starts with a happy mama (remember “If mama ‘aint happy, ‘aint nobody happy.”), it is important that we moms don’t put our wellness on the bottom of our #welltraveledfamily list.

To shed 2013 and start 2014 in style, I chose to indulge in a delicious Northwest Scrub Bar at The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. The Four Seasons Hotel Seattle holds a special place in my heart, as we hosted one of our Mamacation spa and shopping events there a couple years ago. The Four Seasons Seattle is a beautiful retreat in downtown Seattle and it was great to be back and start 2014 off in style. Here’s an overview of my experience at The Spa.

The Spa Treatment: The Northwest Scrub Bar: My spa treatment experience started by choosing from a collection of seasonal NW scrubs. Then it was on to an invigorating full body exfoliation, followed by a deeply hydrating cream and short massage. I chose the sugar scrub below, which smelled like vanilla cookies. Had I not had my fill of espresso that morning, I would have opted for the invigorating espresso scrub. The third seasonal scrub option was infused with the sweet smell of Lemongrass, very earthy and fresh. The spa treatment room overlooked the beautiful Puget Sound and was such a relaxing way to start the day.

This Northwest Scrub at The Spa at The Four Seasons Seattle is just one of the many incredible spa treatments to pamper yourself in 2014. From the extensive selection of Facials, to treatment packages including the Mount Rainer Journey, the Spa at Four Seasons Seattle is a peaceful luxury oasis in downtown Seattle.

The Spa #FSMeTime Promotion: The Spa at Four Seasons Seattle is running a Facebook promotion where 12 lucky winners receive a 50-minute spa treatment of their choice to help start the year right, relieve stress and focus on wellness! Enter by submitting a photo using one of the following themes: relaxation, healthy, stress-free, happiness, along with a 120 character description of how they plan to renew themselves in the new year.
