What is your hotel style? Join us to talk #travelwelldesigned Sunday May 4, 3pm PT/6pm ET
You could say I’m a wee bit fanatical about discovering new, beautifully designed hotels. I can spend hours on Pinterest pinning stylish hotels and I select our vacations based on the prettiest hotel I can find for our travel budget. Despite popular belief, staying in hip or luxury hotels with the kids is possible. You just have to be a bit more diligent in your hotel search. My preferred hotel style ranges depending on the destination I’m visiting. When I’m in the city, I love the urban vibe of a mid-century modern boutique hotel like the Hotel Rivington in Soho, Manhattan. On a more laid-back vacation destination like Los Cabos, Mexico, I’ll take the gorgeous views and rustic mosaic detail of The One & Only Palmilla, or the surfer-chic Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, California. If I could take any hotel style home with me, (no surprise for this vintage-loving-style-mama) it would be this living room from The Parker Palm Springs.
I marvel at how the integration of light, color, pattern and texture in the spaces we travel have the power to transform you to another world and create a mood for our entire trip. From playful details in the lobby, to the cozy furnishings that adorn our slumber for the night, design plays such an important role in our travel experiences. Travel Well Designed is also very personal.
