Travel Tips

20 Jun

Seattle is a diverse city with tons of great things to do with your #WellTraveledFamily, especially in the summertime. One of our favorite ways to enjoy the Seattle sun and explore cultures in the area is festivals. Want to join the A-Z #WellTraveledFamily challenge? Details below!

Whether you’re snacking on delicious exotic treats or yelling “OPA!” in a crowded tent, here are 4 festivals in the Seattle area that we can’t wait for this summer:

1. Groupon Bite of Seattle

This annual food festival at the Seattle Center runs July 19-21, 2013 with free admission, over 60 restaurants, wine tastings, 8 stages, and a ton of great handcrafters. For more information, visit BiteofSeattle.com.

2. Seattle Greek Festival

September 13-15, you can enjoy all that Greek culture has to offer at the St. Demetrios Church in the Montlake neighborhood. For more information, go to SeattleGreekFestival.com.
3. Festa Italiana Seattle

Celebrate all things Italian at the Seattle Center September 28-29. Fun awaits with food, games, visual arts, bocce ball, and a stomping grapes section! Find more information at festaseattle.com!

4. Seafair

Seafair in Seattle is one of the most popular summer festivals. The Seafair Torchlight parade is July 27th, but there’s plenty more to do throughout July and August. For more information, visit seafair.com.
